How Often Should the Filter be Changed? We recommend changing the filter every 30-90 days, depending on the area and living conditions. Homes with pets will typically need more frequent filter changes.

How to Install the Vent Filter: Remove the vent deflector and any vent cover. Grab the vent register from the floor and pull up. Flip the vent register over, insert the filter between the grates and the vent, then reinstall the vent register and replace the air deflector.

Can the Vent Filters be Washed? These vent filters are not designed to be washed. They are engineered to be replaced every 30-60 days, depending on the environment. However, the 100% polyester filter material is washable.

Will This Reduce Air Flow? Every vent filter will reduce air flow to some degree. The Northwest Enterprises vent filters have been engineered to find the perfect balance between filtering dust, dirt, dander, pollen, and allergens, while retaining great air flow.
